Richard Price reads from ‘Lush Life’

Here’s one for you book-reading types.

Novelist and screenwriter Richard Price – author of “Clockers” and a contributor to “The Wire” – has a new book out. “Lush Life” is a crime story set on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Below is Mr. Price reading a passage from it, courtesy of Big Think. (To hear Price talk briefly about his association with David Simon and “The Wire,” click here.)

Hey! You say that like it's a bad thing. :P

For me, books are like crack, not kryptonite. ('cept I don't read a lot of fiction.)

I caught him on Charlie Rose a while back. I am still embarrassed that I haven't read Clockers...

As you probably know, SJ, David Simon considers it a masterpiece.
