Prince’s new website

Prince has launched a new interactive site – www.lotusflow3r.com – that will feature music from his upcoming album “Lotusflow3r.”

As of now, he’s only got three song snippets streaming there. But I recommend you visit to hear a bit of “A Colonized Mind.” Hella tasty.

Sounds good. What music sounds like when produced by and artist with chops not a sampling keyboard.

Ever since Rainbow Children came out,Prince has been getting super Funky and using some great musicians.

While this is sounding more like the Prince most know,it isn't doing as much for me,mostly in the drum and synth departments.

I'll wait and hear the whole thing and hopefully there will be another "Chelsea Rogers" type track to rescue it for me.

I remember you trying to turn Donald and I on to Prince and P-Funk back in our beer drinking days. Like what I heard here. Reminds me that I may have to go add a few more Prince tunes to the iPod

Those snippets are apparently coming from 3 separate albums, all due soon, I think. Lotus Flower is mostly guitar tracks, MPLS (or something like that) seems to be the T-Pain meets the Linn drum album, and the last being a protege record with some girl named Bria something. That one's described as a "quiet storm" thing.

Housequake.com has some info.
